Amy Fried, President

After spending her post-college years riding dogsleds in the Iditarod, tracking orangutans in Borneo and hanging out on the beaches of Costa Rica as a travel writer, Amy Fried launched a highly successful recruiting career in New York City, where she focused on Internet startups and was profiled and quoted in publications including Forbes, CNET, the Chicago Sun-Times, The New York Times, Der Handelsblatt, Business 2.0, and the book, "If My Career's on the Fast Track, Where Do I Get a Road Map?" by Anne Fisher.

After moving to Boulder in 2001, she was approached by a local energy efficiency consulting firm for recruiting assistance. Amy discovered an exciting industry and has since developed a highly specialized network of contacts in the fields of alternative energy, energy efficiency and sustainability.

She was a contributor to the book, "Careers by Design, A Business Guide for Graphic Artists" by Roz Goldfarb. In addition, she has written articles about executive recruiting for The Industry Standard and cnn.com.

Amy has completed extensive recruiter training and continues to develop professionally by attending workshops focused on the latest sourcing, marketing and interview techniques, as well as current employment laws and policies.

Well known for her ability to wheedle out personal information from anyone who crosses her path, Amy brings energy, strategy, knowledge and an inborn talent for matchmaking to every search she undertakes. She graduated with a BA from Lafayette College and did graduate work towards a PhD at Columbia University.
